Syracuse Selects Spring Hockey

Syracuse Selects Spring Hockey was established in 2023 at Three Rivers Athletic Complex.

The Syracuse Selects is a spring hockey team option for strong house and travel level players to continue hockey fun and development into the spring. 

AAU Registration is required.

Teams are based on birth years. There will be teams for birth years 2010-2019 for the 2026 spring season. All games are full-ice at all levels. 

Tryouts and evaluations will be in March. The full season starts in April and runs through the beginning of June. Individual teams may decide to continue longer (this will require additional costs for those teams).

Practices and home games are held at the Three Rivers Athletic Complex in Baldwinsville, NY.

Teams will likely attend two tournaments: one local to Central NY and one in the Northeast region (New England, PA, NY and Canada).

Teams will typically have 1 half-ice practice a week, for 7 weeks. Individual teams may add additional off-ice and on-ice practices as well. 

Teams may play individual games; this will be at the discretion of each individual team and require additional costs. Teams will likely attend two tournaments: one local to Central NY and one in the Northeast region (New England, PA, NY and Canada). Individual teams may add additional tournaments as well.

Approved Syracuse Selects jerseys are required for all players on a team. There is a team store with jerseys and merchandise on the McKie Sports website.

Players will also be expected to wear black socks of their choosing for all games.

Beyond registration fees, you can expect additional costs for one or more of the following:

• AAU Player Registration
• Additional Team Activities
• Normal Travel Costs (e.g. Hotels)

And if your team chooses:

• Additional Tournament Entry Fees
• Additional Ice Time
